Microsoft Excel
Excel in Microsoft 365, or desktop Excel 2016 and later. Excel for the web and Excel for Mac are not supported.
Nothing else to install
The installer adds the .NET 4.7.2 and VSTO runtimes automatically if they're missing — no manual setup.
What the GPU build needs.
The GPU build runs OCR on your NVIDIA GPU. Install these once and the GPU build picks them up automatically.
The NVIDIA driver alone is not enough. Without the CUDA 12.x runtime and cuDNN 9 installed, the GPU build silently falls back to CPU — it still works, just without acceleration. The .NET 8 runtime it needs is installed for you by EvidaSetup-gpu.exe.
Get CUDA & cuDNN from NVIDIAUp and running in three steps.
Download & run
Run EvidaSetup.exe once the download finishes.
Allow it to run
If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, click More info → Run anyway. The installer is signed by Evida AI.
Open Excel
Launch Excel and find the Evida tab on the ribbon. You're ready to audit.

Is the installer safe?
Yes. EvidaSetup.exe is digitally signed by Evida AI. Brand-new releases may briefly show a SmartScreen prompt until Microsoft builds reputation — choose More info → Run anyway.
Do I need the GPU build?
Only if you have an NVIDIA GPU and audit a lot of scanned PDFs or images. The GPU build accelerates OCR; everything else is identical to the standard build. When in doubt, choose standard.
I installed the GPU build but OCR still runs on CPU.
Almost always a missing CUDA runtime or cuDNN — not the driver. Confirm nvidia-smi shows CUDA 12.x, install the CUDA Toolkit 12.x and cuDNN 9, and make sure their DLLs are on PATH. The app falls back to CPU when it can't find them.
Does it work offline?
The add-in installs offline, but auditing features connect to your configured Evida environment to run. Ask us about on-premises and air-gapped deployments.
Which Excel versions are supported?
Excel in Microsoft 365 and desktop Excel 2016 or later on 64-bit Windows. Excel for the web and Excel for Mac are not supported.
How do I update?
Download the latest installer from this page and run it — it upgrades your existing installation in place.
How do I uninstall?
Open Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps, find Evida AI, and choose Uninstall.
